    My hair loss pics

Hey folks, thought I'd post some pics of how bad my hair really is. I just wanted to ask do you think that it would be too late to start propecia or minox for it to be effective at this point? Or is it too far progressed?

If you could of seen my hair 3 years ago, there is no way you think this was the same person, such is life eh! Also looking at the pictures, it seems like you can almost see where my Norwood pattern is going to end up, but can it progress beyond that point?

Bear in mind this was with a flash on in an incredibly bright room, but yeah it is pretty bad, especially for my age.

If you buzz it, then the thinness would not be that obvious. So maybe you could try doing that and keep some facial hair to drag the attention away from the head.

Dude it is buzzed?? Maybe it's grown a little bit, need to re-buzz it I think. I always have facial hair anyway.

Mines no different to that really, perhaps a slightly stronger hairline. I buzzed it, gonna buzz it grade 1 tomorrow and 0 on sides.

But I can't give a straight up answer with treatment, tbh, if you're gonna do propecia its now or never. My view is shave the s*** down, get to the gym, live life and start treatment. Keep it buzzed and give it 1 year, if it's all shit and you get sides, **** it, you're bald, you tried, if not, then heyyyyy

I don't know why it's diffusing so badly it started out with just slow recession. If propecia can help at this point I might have to give in to my worries about it. Started minox again but will it really do anything, only time will tell. I think I'm doomed here, I don't how long this will hold out for.

Just how it is dude, mines exactly the same. Trust me the clipper is your friend. Read Kaymans posts on my wall, it makes sense. You're not doomed, try treatment, but do it sooner rather then later. You may or may not get sides. Minox will re-grow, but you have to keep at it everyday as is propecia.

A buzz will let you cope in the day and take it on full on.

I know your gonna hate me for saying this but the BIG 3 might regrowth and thicken some of your hair.

Yeah...I've seen those pics before. I dunno man it all just feels hopeless at the minute, it's so aggressive and diffused that I don't know if the big 3 will even do anything for me. Like you say it 'might' do something. I don't know if it's even worth it.

If I had your hairloss and was wanting to do something about it, I'd be hitting it with fin for sure. Also, I'd consider a 0 guard. I think as short as you have it now, you probably have a good idea if you're comfortable with your head shape. If so, I can't see a reason not to no guard it. Honestly, it's probably not too far off into the future that I'll be doing the same.

                    No guard
                    Weight lifting
                    Cardio
                    Ideal nutrition
                    Sharp dress attire
                    maintained stubble
fin (if you're comfortable with it)
                    Profit

                    Best luck, homes.

Sound advice guys. I think I'll give minox 6+ months first, if no luck then either drop it and shave my head down or add propecia. This really does suck.

I probably know the answer to this but could I not just get a full hair transplant in between the existing hair? Then when it does fall out there will be permanent hair left behind.

Since you have considerable diffuse thinning, how many grafts do you think it would take to cover the whole top of your head and what would be the cost? (This is a genuine, not rhetorical question. I really just have no personal interest in a HT, so I'm not well-versed.)

Can't remember how old you are, but since you aren't sure how far your hair will continue to deter and at what rate, it's probably premature to get a HT, yeah? Say all the rest of the hair there falls off in the next year, then you're stuck with however many hairs they could move to the top of your head. If it isn't cutting it at that point, you would hopefully be able to at least no guard it (assuming there isn't scars).

Just playing the other angle here.

I dunno, maybe 4-5k grafts and yeah it wouldn't be cheap. I'm 23 in a few months but teah you are right, it's just desperation and wishful thinking I suppose :/

I agree. The hairline looks great, just the thinning sucks. That's pretty much ideal for fin.
(though I'm too scared to take it myself)

Breaking... my hair was MUCH thinner than yours, I swear on my grave the Fin Minox Combo is the gig....the only proven approach which actually works, and works VERY well.
