Do you think there would be a problem w cycling between 1mg and 1.25mg of fin daily?

Not going to go into too much detail, but I think my current 2 boxes of 1 mg finasteride might have been exposed to heat and other questionable conditions and I'm not 100% confident they still have all of their potency.

I am probably just being paranoid, but I have been taking half a pill for 10 days and I really don't feel anything. I know that sounds like a good thing but I was kind of hoping for a bit of ball ache just to tell me I was on the right track or something.

But anyway I definitely don't want to throw them out since I'm pretty sure they would still work, but just as a precaution, I have a backup plan. Maybe if I was to get a prescription for proscar 1.25, i could alternate between that and a full dose of fin every day? That way nothing gets wasted, but if the pills are in fact duds, I know at least i always have some fin working in my bloodstream. I just saw a pic of my hair just 3 months ago and I was kind of shocked at how fast it has progressed. (id be THRILLED if fin can just get my hair back to where it was 3 months ago now ) i really don't want to risk going 56 more days not knowing if my pills are working or not.

So what do you think, good idea? do you think alternating doses like that could be detrimental to my endocrine system? Thanks a lot for any help

I’d check how hot they actually got, but mild warmth usually doesn’t ruin them. Also, you won’t feel much in ten days anyway since fin works slowly over months.

Fin usually doesn’t hit you with any obvious feeling, so ten days without noticing much is pretty normal. The bigger thing is heat exposure; if the pills got really hot for a long time, the potency *might* drop, but most meds handle short warm spells fine. I’ve handled my storage quirks the same way I handle my cycling insurance stuff by keeping things in a cool, dry spot so I don’t have to second‑guess them later.
