22 years old, and losing my hair. :(

So I'm 22, almost 23 and I know for a fact I'm going bald. Not one of those things where I look like an NW2 or NW1.5, i'm a full NW3 my temples have disappeared pretty much and the only way to manage is to go long haired completely or completely cut my hair off. I've looked into taking Fin, and I am thinking of going down that route sooner than later due to not wanting to lose more hair.

My question is, is there ANY POSSIBLE way to tell where it may halt at? It's very weird because my moms father pretty much had a full head of hair at most maybe an NW2 to NW3, can't say for certain but for a fact not above that. My father has a full head of hair without any real recession at all, I'd say at most an NW1.5. Only other people in my family with hairloss are two of my uncles but are only about an NW2 or 2.5. No one in my family has ever gone above NW3.

So anybody that can actually talk and relate? I've lurked on these forums long enough and felt it was time to come on finally.

I can definitely relate. I'm 22 and losing my hair too. It's 100% pure bullshit isn't it? All my other friends have heads jam-packed with hair. My 85 year old grandfather has a full head of hair. All my uncles and my father have hair. But I get to be the one with this horse shit. It's not ****ing fair! I look horrible! I'd look so good with a full head of hair but my temples are receded and I already look like an old man! God damn it! This shit sucks!

It's not fair at all. :/

All my cousins, my brothers, and everyone has a full head of hair with the exception of my 2 uncles who are at the most a norwood 3. I'm only 22 and I'm a norwood 3. :|

Fortunately, I grew the sack to shave my head. Just it sucks and I don't get why us. I was always that guy who had long hair and styled it. Now I can't even do that. So I had to get adjusted to this look which slowly I am, and fortunately I'm also kind of in shape enough to pull it off. We're still young and hopefully before our 30's there will be some kind of advancement and hopefully we don't hit over a norwood 3!

Exactly, if you don't keep it, every man has to do it.

I think I just had a semi-realization. I don't think I'm going to go on fin, not primarily cause of the sides, but how it can affect what I want to do in the future. I want to get into fighting and have been going to an MMA gym for some time now, and I need all my testosterone there. I don't want to suffer from a low T count from fin, or even risk that. I'd rather shave my head, then have that option.

So sorry to hear that , it must be difficult for sure but TRY and be positive about it. There's people out there dying of cancer every single day, children, babies...
