Hey Fox. I am you , 26 years ago.

I first noticed my hairline starting to break up a bit at age 20 , so I inspected it daily for the rest of my life. I am now 46 and just had my first hair transplant.

I got lucky. I watched my hair fall out very slowly. It did not fall out in 5 years or 10. I sat there and did nothing but inspect my hairline everytime i went in front of a mirror. Praying I did not lose more.

So you can 'gamble' by simply monitoring it or you can seek professional advice. Your hairline looks like its starting to recede. The only way we can know how FAST its going to fall out is by looking at photos of your both your grandfathers.

I found 90% of men will look like either of them , but 50% will end up like their father or even brothers.

If one of your grandfathers has a full head of hair, look at the other one. Go find pictures of both of them at age 20, 25, 30 .

If I could go back I would would have stuck with my decision not to use products. Why? I always felt that it was going to be permanent or nothing.

What I would do differently was concentrate on keeping my hair healthy and eat proper foods and manage stress. These things can make your hair fall out faster.

What you can do is see where your grandads hairlines receded and peg a date to have your first transplant , probably 10 years from now or even longer.

Then, after taking these precautions, go enjoy your life and forget about it.

One of my grandfathers was entirely bald at age twenty; the other has retained a full head of hair...

I guess all the prior appraisals of my hairline to be no more than NW 1.5/2 were underestimations... Do note that my forehead's always been large, but of course recession's recession.

How much had you receded by the time you got your first transplant?

About one inch . However, there was a lot of thinning over the years . I was still a NW 1 until I was 30. Then I was about a NW 2 until i was about 35 or so. But the overall thinning kept getting worse.

Then at about 42 I noticed the front of my head was thinner than the back, which is the start of NW 3 and eventually will lead to NW 3 with a hole in the crown.

So I decided now was the time to fix my frontal hair line to get it permanently fixed as thick as surgically possible with todays technology. Then have subsequent proceedures as needed behind the hairline as I aged.

I think we ALL go bald by age 80 or 90 . Anyone who has male pattern baldness will not be able to avoid this. But my hope is that cloning will be attained by then so all the work I have done now can be duplicated to fill out my entire head by then.

As far as your grandads go, if you dont fit into either of them, then you are not the 90%. Your hairloss will be harder to pinpoint. I have no other advice to give you other than to pray that your hair stays intact !!!

          Good luck.

Few to no men go entirely bald by age twenty.

Your hairline is a NW 1.5 right now. Here is what is happening. Your body is producing a hormone which all men produce starting at about age 18 or so.

This hormone is bad for some of our hair, depending on the hairs ability to fend off this hormone. This is where male pattern baldness comes into play. Some of our hair, especially in the front, is damaged by the horomone and eventually burns out. The rest of our hair is more resistant to the hormone and therefore does not fall out.......yet.

The hair gets burned out in a direct pattern as the weakest hairs burn out first followed by the next weakest and so on . I dont think scientists have figured out what the genetic purpose going bald serves.

The hairs on the back of our head dont care about this hormone. So why dont we just have these hairs everywhere to save all the hassle? Good question .Nobody knows.

Hey again guys - just updating the pics; I really feel it's getting worse all the time, so may opt for some sort of affordable finasteride from an internet pharmacy...

I feel your hair growth seems healthy. There are people who have a nightmare of hair fall and early baldness at an early age which very depressing and horrific for a person. If it is a genetic thing we are unable to help but if it is because of any health condition you must take some advice to a doctor and follow a planned diet and regular exercise which can be really helpful. I was looking for some adviser here https://www.lifesaveressays.com

                  Hey bud.

I am a Doctor, so I can tell you what's evidence based. I also had a similar pattern of early balding at your age, which has stopped (I'm 28 now).

So your hair overall looks fine to me, but I saw your earlier posts, and you indeed are most likely slowly balding. This is a progressive thing, it generally doesn't halt- it will slowly get worse with time unless you take an active role in managing it. Starting early is better.

If you really don't want to be bald (some men can accept it- which is great) but some people can't which is ok as well.
                  I suggest doing the following:
                  1) Stop feeling sorry for yourself- you said earlier that you have clinical depression so I am not going to labour on this- I am sure you are doing your best on managing this. But you need to accept that balding is just something that happens to some people earlier than others. If you start now you can largely stop it.
                  2) Start using minoxidil 5% every day (a.k.a Rogaine) this is relatively harmless. Get the generic to save money. I like the foam version.
                  3) Seriously consider starting propecia 1mg daily- this will largely halt the balding process for you. It prevents the conversion of active testosterone- which is the root cause of balding. There is a very small chance of sexual side effects (1-3%) depending on the study, but most people tolerate it well. I haven't experienced any side effects and it has worked for me quite well.
                  4) In the future you may need a hair transplant- this is a semi-permanent solution- I had to get one and my hairline looks very strong after 2 years. This is pricey. At this point if you follow steps 2) and 3) you will not need one.

See a doctor and tell them that this is negatively affecting your quality of life. As long as you understand the risks and benefits of propecia- I don't see why they wouldn't prescribe it to you.

                  I hope this helps.

Hi, hair loss is a very serious problem. It happens due to tension, stress and lake of sleep. It affects our memory also. In my opinion, you should consult a good doctor, so that he can provide a good solution for that. In this world, everyone is busy every time and don’t have time to take care of ourselves. Students take stress if they are not able to perform well in their academics. So, they should have proper attention on their studies. They should watch some motivational speech. It will really helpful for them. If they want to improve their writing skills then they should take advice from experts. They can also take help from https://buyessayukblog.wordpress.com/ for their academic writing. It will help them to reduce their tension and stress.

I feel very sad to listen to hair loss. The main reason for hair loss is tension and stress. In student life there is too much pressure to complete their assignments and for good marks. They need to take proper food and diet for their health. For the stress-free study, they should start their study from the starting of the year. If their performance is not satisfactory in their assignments then they can take experts’ advice for their projects. I recommend https://essaywritingexpert-usa.tumblr.com/ for writing assistance and support.

                          write my case brief

Today a lot of students suffer from a great number of assignments and no time to cope with all that. There are also lots of other things to do and when to live the fulll of emotions interesting student's life? I would rather ask the professional to write my case brief and spare some time for my friends.
