I think that's a NW2 at most, I can imagine your hair unstyled. Also you seem to have thickness so styling might not be a issue for you. Not everyone has that much volume to work with. Also, the light is not optimal so it might be looking more thicker than how it actually is, but if you say there is no difference then it's great.

your right, its not thick at all, just fine. the light is prob doing a bit of work, also im on meds with 16 months and havent been too pleased with the results but i suppose i should give them credit, its not regrowing but its stopped falling out. im putting this up mainly due to the unbelievable negativity ive seen hair. sorry for the pun!

if it stopped falling then they are working and that is something. I just wanted to check because I thought it didn't look like a NW2.5.

Looks good man. I don't even try to hide a 2.5. I'll scream that sh*t from the mountain tops.

The whole hair-back thing is what bugged me initially too. Working downtown, when I would dresss nice, I would usually use a light mousse, part it on the side, and "slick" it back (slick feels weird to describe my hair). Once my hairline thinned out, it started looking horrible to do that. Had to go short short. If my density bounces back, I'm definitely going to slick it again.

I was going to say that doesn't look like any more than a Norwood 2. Also, natural red heads have very fine hair. This has nothing to do with MPB, it's just the normal texture of red hair.

honestly its a 2.5....my hair dresser was telling me my hair was thick but it felt thin. your right gingers have fine hair anyway,i thought we were immune to MPB! lol the thing is i might have to go down the road of HT sooner or later if (when) the meds reduce their effectivness.

that's the most important factor why I hate the hairdresser. and the extremely bright lighting and also the needless big mirrors everywhere. maybe they are fun for people without MPB but not for me

yeah its daunting. esp when not only the hairdresser but a queue of men who are watching seeing this balding gimp in denial lol. i think thats when it really hits home, when you have to face up to it, every haircut becomes a realisation. hate looking at other guys with their perfect hairline getting it cut. at least the hairdresser knows im sensitive about it, but she did say last time my hair is very thick at the back so thats smth

That's what kills me man. I'm comfortable with my hair at the moment. But, in my new place the bathrooms lights are super bright. Once, I got out of the shower without drying my hair and caught a glimpse in the mirror - it gripped me for a second.
