White buildup attached to the root of my hair!

most of the times the hair which fell off my scalp has a white buildup attached to the root of it.. and its like white little soft bulby surrounding that covers the root of hair from its tip and i believe if i get of this build up my hair will never fell off. sometimes two hairs will togather fell off in a single buildup.

check out the msm/vitc thread. The msm/vitc should solve your problem. Also start using a tgel shampoo one with salycilyc acid. Also refrain from using fin or any dht inhibitor, it will likley aggrevate the sebum secretion.

I'm confused... I thought the white bulb attached to hair was part of the follicle sheath (or something). And I've never heard of finasteride aggravating this problem.

yeah that can be the case, the sheath is a see through white. the OP is probably talking about a crusty type of white, which also coincides with scalp itch/oil issues.
