29 yr not sure about hairline

Hey guys, just another concerned guy worried about hair loss. I looked in the mirror one day and asked myself was my hairline always like that? A little history, my father is bald and started losing his hair in his thirties, he is the only one of 4 brothers that went bald. Both my grandfathers seemed to retained a good amount of hair in their old age. Now that I'm getting into my thirties I'm starting to wonder if my hair will follow the same footsteps as my dad's did. I included some recent pictures of my hairline including a pic of my hair at age 21. Judging from my younger picture i always had a weird hairline where my left side of the hairline was always a bit higher, but I can't really tell if there is much change. So do you think i should be concerned? I figured if I am starting to lose hair I should do something now about it. thanks guys.

      +1.

Your loss is similar to where mine is, I'm 24. Dad bald, his brother partially. Maternal uncles thick hair, maternal grandfather thick hair.

Yeah that's definitely some temporal recession and maybe a little thinning on the top. Not too bad though, I'd research treatments and get on them before it gets worse.

sigh... ok thanks, I'm thinking of just going on minoxidil for now to maintain what I have. Do you think I should get on stronger alternatives i.e, propecia? The side effects are a concern.

Your hairline was very low at 21. It's clearly past the point of being a 'mature hairline' now, though. Propecia would give you your best chance of halting the loss.
