The site I linked let's you buy the test online and go to a nearby location to draw the blood. No Doctor required. The clinic here wants to charge me 80 to see a doctor, this is not including the price of the tests.
I'll take these two and see what happens. I actually suffer from iron symptoms and have diffuse hair loss all over the head. So here is hoping its not genetic.
Diffuse hair loss would more likely be medically related versus genetic. However, you could have a little of both going on. What is your family history of MPB? Do you have insurance?

Could be both. I have a nw2 hair line and diffused all over. Receeding doesn't bother me, but losing all over suuuuucks. I mean sides and back. If i have wet hair I look like Gollum from Lord of the Rings.
As for family history, its hit and miss. 95% of my close cousins don't have mpb. If they do, its a NW3 at its worse.
My dad is a NW6. His brothers all had thick hair with some Receeding... Even being 50+.
My mom's brothers all have some sort of hair loss, but its always Receeding and crown bald spot.
Mine is just thin all over and not bald spot. Never seen anything likr it.
