sore hairline?

I am a 30yr old male from the UK and I have receding temples,the right side is alot worse but what i want to ask is it normal when receding for it to hurt?
it feels like someones pulled on the hair almost not like and itch its sore as ****!

I DO play with my temples alot checking my hair line at least 10 times a day.I really badly want to make the jump to fin although it wont help stablize my hairline will it? dont care about regrowth if it doesnt happen just maintain what I have for as long as possible baldness runs in both sides of my family

I too get this feeling, I am not sure if all mpb sufferers get this? It kinda feels like somebody is lightly jabbing my head with a pin or something. I am not sure what this is exactly, but I am 100% that it is caused by mpb. I only get this sensation where I am losing my hair (at the crown, and at the hairline).

Nizoral can be quite helpful to eliminate the itchiness.

yea i def recede after the pain comes then i dont get it for ages

i tried nizoral but it made my hair so dry and shitty and i already have thick coarse hair as it is so kinda gave it up

i would try propecia ect but nothing can help the hairline so im screwed it seems
