I don't have time for this. Anyways I picked up some sulfate free shampoo called Organix. My scalp doesn't feel as dried out on it. -
I wasn't talking to you like you are an idiot. That is how you chose to take what I was saying. It was your decision and yours alone.
The questions you asked and the comments you posted made it obvious that you do not understand.Leave a comment:

The problem is NOONE really knows how it works. It's all speculative, including your theory. You can help all you want. Just don't talk down on people because they don't agree with you, or in my case am more open to other things. Don't talk to me like am an idiot telling me what I do and don't understand, it's as simple as that.
Do you actually understand minoxidil's mechanism of action? How it acts as as potassium channel opener which allows hyperpolorization of the cell membrane? This forces Potassiums ions into the cell causing the voltage of the cell to be more negative. Oh wait, but I wouldn't understand that. Or that an action potential is made right before hyperpolarization. Don't be so pretentious.
I really don't care how it works, just glad it does!Leave a comment:

Don't talk to me like am an idiot telling me what I do and don't understand, it's as simple as that. These guys who choose to take me the wrong way are very few and very far between. You focus on them because you are one of them. When someone takes me the wrong way like this, that is their problem and their loss, not mine.
I took the time to talk to the right people and read the right information so I could make sure I understand and know what I am talking about. I got my hair back because I listened to those who have been through this before and knew more than me. I am here now because I want to help those who want to be helped. Not everyone wants to be helped. So be it.

This is clearly deviating away from any sort of meaningful conversation and its obvious you feel need to get the last word in. Oh yeah and you don't have the power to say what I do and don't understand. Which I dounderstand.Leave a comment:

First, yes I do understand everything you just stated. Second, I don't appreciate your cantankerous attitude and would appreciate it if you could subdue your proclivities. Just because I am more open to other possibilities doesn't mean I don't know anything. My case is a little different as I took a foreign substance which induced my hair shedding. A person who understands how steroids work would be best person to go to. I am perfectly aware of what I need and I'm waiting to hear back from the doctor. Any sort of doctor with any critical thinking skills shouldn't just say go on this drug. That's a pretty irresponsible thing to do considering I very clearly explained my situation.
I appreciate your replies in trying to help me originally, but if you're going to continue with your condescending tone, feel free not to post in my thread. I can discern what hair loss is and how and why it occurs: otherwise I wouldn't have posted this thread and I don't need to be belittled.Leave a comment:

You do not understand hair loss. You do not understand the nature of hereditary hair loss. You do not understand what it takes to treat hair loss, especially hereditary hair loss. At this time you do not even know if you have hereditary hair loss or if the loss you have experienced is permanent.
You need an IN PERSON examination by a doctor who specializes in treating hair loss. Not a phone call. Not an e-mail. You need an in-person examination. Without an in person examination, any doctor will assume that you have hereditary hair loss - and of course they would recommend Finasteride.
The internet is full of BS about how to treat hair loss, and you are already starting to fall for some of that BS. You are not going to get anywhere or make any progress if you rely solely on your own misguided "research". You need the real information and you get that real information from a specialist, not from members of an internet forum.Leave a comment:

I don't mind making lifestyle changes, I'm perfectly capable of that: as long as it doesn't involve erectile dysfunction. I know that there's only a 2% chance of getting side effects, but if I received side effects from the steroidal compound I was taking, which was supposed to be relatively low on side effects, there's a strong possibility that I'll have those same side effects too. Although, I did take double the recommended dosage for a week and triple the dosage for a week as well. And who knows of the long term effects of taking Finasteride are.Right now every option outside of a hair transplant is a permanent lifestyle addition or you lose whatever was gained.
This is true in almost everything with regard to the body when it comes to things that affect hormones and what not. Once you make an adaptation you pretty much have to stick with it or you lose the benefits.
With regard to natural vs chemical remedies...I think if there was something sufficiently powerful enough to be a true secondary choice to Fin/Minox/Niz then it surely would have been found by now. I'm sure a lot of natural remedies can do the same exact thing, but to the same potency is another question. Maybe Saw Palmetto works for some because the amount of 5ar inhibition required for them is a whole lot less and Finasteride is unnecessarily potent? Its weird studies like that that will never happen.
I honestly still don't believe that I suffer from Male Pattern Baldness, it's just that my DHT levels were exceptionally high for the period of a few weeks and I didn't use the correct shampoo to counteract the DHT. I don't need something exceptionally strong, just something that would promote healthy hair growth. Who knows, I could be going bald anyways and suffer from Androgenic Alopecia and just be in denial. I guess the best thing is taking the proper steps as early as possible to avoid it from progressing any further.
I didn't email any other clinic except that Laser Clinic that I stated prior. I haven't talked to them since. I emailed the doctor closest to where on live from that website and stated my dilemma and even sent pictures and the first thing he recommends I take is finasteride. What exactly is it that I'm not getting at all? Please enlighten me.You have a lot to learn and you are not getting it at all. You need to stop wasting your time in this forum or any other forum. You need to stop wasting your time e-mailing "clinics" and get yourself to a doctor for an in person examination, a thorough explanation of the different types of hair loss - and explanation of the realities of treating the different types of hair loss.
You need to go to a doctor who specializes in treating hair loss. You can find one here:
Stay away from the chain clinics like Bosley and such.Leave a comment:
