I am the elder brother of 3rdDecade just before anyone asks
Before I go any further I would like to make clear I don't want to stop male pattern baldness but just slow it down, even if that be by 2%.
I am 23 y/o and am currently an nw2. Baldness runs in my family.
I have tried propecia for 4 months, 2 months on 1mg and the last 2 months on .5mg. I stopped because I started having prostatitis issues which I immediately related to propecia. thankfully 6 months off propecia I have no sides unlike those described on propecia help.
Yesterday I tried saw palmetto, I am not joking it knocked me for six. I have learned my body needs DHT to stay alive so all internal DHT inhibitors I won't be taking any more unless supplements
My regimen:
. Nizoral 2% x1 Day (I have been diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis so its a win- win situation)
. Minoxidil 5% x2 Day
. Vosene Hair tonic x1 Day
. Zinc (DHT inhibitor) and multivitamen supplyments
. Broccoli Treatment (DHT inhibitor)
. Olive oil (I leave that on my scalp overnight, does wonders for your skin aswell)
I know this regimen is nowhere near as good as propecia alone, but for me it works.
Over the past 6 months I have noticeably seen my hair loss slow down
, compared to the 6 months previous to starting natural treatment.
I wouldn't say I have stabilised but the rate of MPB has slowed, this may add 1-2 years of hair I shouldn't have, might not even be that could just be an extra few days, but hay at-least I gave it a try. So far so good.
