    Advice Needed! [PICS]

    Hi everyone.

I'm 23. My hair is naturally very fine, but I began noticing in the past 6 months or so that it has become thinner than normal at the hairline/temples -- specifically on the right side.

There is a history of MPB in my family, in particular on my mother's side where almost everyone (male and female) has experienced hairloss to some extent. My mother, her brothers, and several of my cousins have some form of hair loss. MPB is not as prominent on my father's side. My father and his siblings all had great hair until their 50s, where they began to lose some.

I'm just very concerned about my hairline which seems to be thinning out (see the attached pics), as well as my temples. The rest of my head, including the crown, is fine. I'm OK with how my hair looks now, but I want to do something about it so that I can keep what I have and not lose more.

I'm not on any hair loss treatments right now. I use 1% Nizoral two times a week, but that's about it. Also Nioxin shampoo which claims to clear the scalp of DHT -- not sure how true that is.

What do you all recommend? I would try Rogaine out but I hear that isn't very effective at the front. I'm trying to avoid Finasteride unless this becomes worse. Would like to try something more natural, such as Saw Palmetto. Any suggestions on what I should do at this point?

    Thanks.

What I see in the pics you have provided is a normal male hair line.

Since hair loss runs strong in your family, you do want to keep an eye on it. It would probably be a good idea to talk to a doctor about preventative measures as well.

        Bro your hair looks amazing!

I would not worry even in the slightest.

Although if you're worried there is a genetic test available which supposedly will determine if you are likely to suffer from MPB.

I have no idea if it works.

Have you visited any medical professionals to get their opinion on your hair?
