    Hi

I'm 20 years old, and for the past couple of years have been wondering whether I'm receding or not. It's a great source of insecurity for me, and it has resulted in me constantly touching my hair to cover up what I perceive to be a "bald patch". I'm planning on getting a skinhead soon anyway, so I won't have to constantly flatten out my fringe, as it's turned from a habit into a compulsion.

I'm not sure if it's something I'm genetically predisposed to; my Dad is in his mid fifties and has most of his hair, although it's going a bit thin, and I realise genetic traits can be recessive (excuse the pun). I've been clutching at the hope that it's the shape of my head, or my hair (I have very thin hair anyway), but I realise there's a chance I may be receding. Anyway, here are some pictures, so you can judge for yourselves...

    Hello,

    Here is the chart:

If this really bothers you, you should see a doctor who specializes in treating hair loss. Here is a list for you:

The International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons and its elite membership is the only hair transplant society to be recognized by Consumer Reports, Consumer's Digest and WebMD. Considered the foremost patient-centric organization in the field, IAHRS members are endorsed by The American Hair Loss Association for their support of truth in advertising, safe consumerism, and the importance of appropriate patient selection.

    Take care,

    Tracy
