Read Dan Olmstead's book on the amish and autism. the federal government has been pressuring amish people to vaccinate their children for years now. probably to get everyone in America under the same umbrella so they can hide the truth about the dangers of the vaccines. The FDA is not concerned with your health.
How many grafts would i need ?

This is just a tiny bit of the massive amounts of information that can be found if you not a blind American following the blind FDA into a ditch. The top expert in Autism in the UK believes autism is NOT genetic and Im sure he has done more research than you. The TRUTH is coming out and court cases have already been won in this country against vaccine companies for compensation for brain damage caused by vaccines. Its easy to sit there and believe what you want to believe but the brave challenge the institution and seek TRUTH. Now lets argue about hair loss instead.Comment

Heres another. If autism is 1 in 100 all over because of genetics then explain why 30,000 children never vaccinated don't have one single case of autism? In 30,000 kids there should 300 autistic but there's none.

Correlation =/= cause.
The rise in autism cases is a study in progress. Assuming it must be vaccines is jumping to a conclusion, and seeking out and emphasizing any information that may support that conclusion is called confirmation bias. It's an unscientific process. And saying peer-reviewed science "is the problem" is tinfoil hat thinking (like some of those websites, sorry to say). Only studies that follow the scientific method allow for review and reproduction. This is how we verify claims like "the hormones in factory-farmed food cause baldness."
Bottom line again: no one has shown that alternative remedies work. Certainly not through science, but even in the anecdotes department, the picture is grim. We have plenty of success stories from proven treatments, including users of this forum. I am one of them. There are people here who have maintained their hair for 3, 5, 8, even 13 years on finasteride. Where are the saw palmetto success stories?
Everyone who says "I'm going to beat hair loss the natural way" always ends up balder or disappearing. They never seem to come back to boast about the great new alternative they found. But, I know some will never be convinced. All I can say is that I hope no one reading this thread chooses to give up their hair because you changed their minds.
If you're serious about this approach to treatment, I can make an easy prediction: a few years from now, you'll wish you'd listened to people who actually know how to fight hair loss and have been doing so successfully (some since the 1990's). You'll be bald, we'll look the same, and even then you might still insist we're wrong.
I'd rather you didn't go that route. If you want to keep your hair you should do it. But it's your choice.Comment

Well first we could say the same thing about the institution that says autism is genetic. Where is your proof. I could use the same argument you are using. A mom and dad have three children and only one is autistic therefore using your criteria it is fact that its not the genes, right?? It seems that if the medical establishment says this is the reason it is accepted as fact without any question. You are forgetting that there are plenty of doctors and scientists that agree with me that disease is not genetically CAUSED. Of course some people might be more suseptiple to certain things and that is why a person who smokes one pack a day for 20 years gets lung cancer and my friend's grandma who is 80 and has smoked 2 packs a day for 50 years has never had lung cancer. Under your thinking we can safely say that genetics causes lung cancer and NOT smoking. Am I correct in your opinion??? We have proof that many people smoke all their lives but never get lung cancer so smoking cannot be linked to lung cancer in any way shape or form. Right? As I spent so much time saying, its your math that actually does not tell the whole story. Autism is a brain injury that happens after birth NOT before birth. Their are thousands of women like my sister who has an autistic child that will tell you ABSOLUTELY that their child was not autistic from birth until 18 months and then all of a sudden had it. All the stories are the same. They were fine and then received their vaccines, especially the MMR at 12 to 15 months and then all of a sudden started suffering from ear infections and other complications and then a change happened. They see it in their eyes which TURN glossy and distant, and body movements, and behavior. They know their child a million times better than you or any doctor and when they say their child was fine one day and then shortly after receiving certain vaccines BECAME autistic, we should listen to them and not some pharmaceutical paid scientist in a lab with an agenda. Unless you have spent a lot of time around autistic children from the age of 1 to 3 like these moms, you have no clear evidence to speak of. The greatest doctors of every era have given us the most ridiculous claims and diagnosis and later were found to be incorrect. The FACT that autism is caused by a brain INJURY is very close to coming out from TRUE researchers and the genes people will be eating their words one day. I spent a lot of time with my nephew and I saw the time when he all of a sudden changed. he was absolutely NOT born autistic. His little brother is not at age 3 so he seems to be in the clear. Funny how the same genes did not make him autistic. The truth is a persons brain is developing from conception to the age of our late teens with most of it happening in the first few years. If something foreign or unnatural enters the blood stream, which of course runs through your brain at the wrong time it can effect your brain. Why is it so hard for you and many people to admit that?? U think that if you drink rat poison it won't effect your body?? The attitude that modern medicine is fine is just a self justification because we are desperate and confused and don't want to be wrong about anything. Its that simple. As far as hair loss we are probably much farther from the truth because its only a concern for balding men and not much effort will be made from research. Many books have been written from actual field researchers that show disease is not natural in the pristine areas of this planet and the only animals that get disease are domesticated by humans or affected by human interaction in some way. Like chemicals, garbage, spills, and other things of the such. You just haven't come around to this type of info. Truth is in the eyes of the beholder and a few seek truth while most manufacture their own.Comment

Also one other note about pills for hair loss like propecia. How long have they been around? Long enough for a true CLINICAL study? Have labs lied many many times before saying meds were safe just to get sued years later??? I mean please, have you watched the news in the last 10 years? The one thing we know for sure is that most modern meds come out and studies say they are safe and then they get sued because of negative side effects. What if they discover 5 years from now that propecia causes liver damage? Is protecting a few hairs on the crown of your head worth dying of liver disease at age 55 when you may have lived until 75 otherwise? I bet most men would take the extra 20 years with their grandchildren instead of a few hairs. Also something to think about. Every medicine made by man in history including simple pain killers like aspirin, tylenol, and advil have proven side effects. To say there is no side effects from propecia again is reckless.Comment

What I love about the internet is that everyone has the opportunity to research a particular subject to make informed decisions. What I hate about the internet is that there is soooo much misinformation being spread by uniformed conspiracy theorists that a huge percentage of people who think they are doing their due diligence are being brain washed by pseudo scientists, bloggers and in the case of the hair loss business, competitors of FDA approved products. This thread makes for interesting reading, but sadly people who believe some of the dribble being written here are just plain clueless.Comment

For those who are hoping to learn the truth about hair loss, the link is over there on the right of this forum. For those who don't see the link for whatever reason, here it is:

WOW!! Jimmyhair you might be the dumbest person on the web!! Congratulations!! That is quite an accomplishment Jimmy!! I don't have enough time to desect your posts and show you how stupid you are, but it is very clear from your posts that your understanding of genetics and science in general is very limited to say the least.Comment

and I think this post should prob be deleted as not to spread this psuedo-science bs
Also Jimmy if hair loss is caused by hormones and chemicals in our food, then male pattern baldness should be a mordern disorder. The problem is that its not. how do you explain that?Comment

Alright... we are not each other's enemies... this is a forum to help one another deal with, and treat, hair loss.
The reason we are so reluctant to just "let this go" is because we know what works and what doesn't. And we are afraid some desperate person is going to read posts from accounts like Jimmy's and try "alternative" (read: evidence-free) approaches to hair loss, instead of using a proven treatments that some of us have successfully used up to a decade and a half or longer.
I've seen people like Jimmyhair say these things before, and my mind is just shouting "don't do it man, you're going to go bald, don't kid yourself." I don't want to see another depressed hair loss sufferer free-fall down the Norwood scale due to fear-mongering from unreliable sources.
But, if his course is set, it's set. For anyone else reading this thread: PLEASE try proven remedies first. If they don't work or if you have side effect, you can quit and then experiment all you want. But you wouldn't be reading this if you were happy with hair loss, and modern science already knows how to treat it.
The medicinal treatments aren't perfect, and they're more
for keeping and improving the hair you have than for regrowing lost hair, but at least you have options. You won't have those options as a NW 5a-7.Comment

Hey Winston I think we all agree with what you said about too much false information but many disagree on where it is coming from. Many intelligent people believe it is the FDA and modern scientists that are actually the makers of the pseudo science. I think that most people just believe something must be true if it's on their tv or came form the authorities. The authorities at one time had doctors delivering babies after doing autopsies without washing their hands giving society a 50% death rate for newborns and when a doctor came up with the hand sanitizing idea from the bible and dropped the death rate to 5% he was criticized and called a nut job pseudo scientist. The idea that there was invisible natural bacteria in the air was consider silly pseudo science. People who come up with truth are always criticized. Truth has 3 stages. First it is ridiculed and laughed at, then it is violently opposed and attacked, and finally it is realized as self evident. With many of our modern diseases we are just still in the first 2 stages. We think we are smart yet we have more diseases in this country than you can literally count. "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end leads to destruction."Comment
