    nw3 at age of 17

    hi,
heres my story. I am basically a 17 male, and i do sports every now and then. Never dyed my hair or perm and sort. However, in around april i had a procedure to remove 4 of my wisdom tooth and two of others. Sad to say, i lost alot of blood and had to take two dose of the medication due to infection. However, in around may, i noticed that my hairline had receded to a nw 3. Before removing my tooth, i had a juvenile hairline. The area that my hairline had receded is now filled with hair that are thin and are around 0.2cm long in average. what i wanna ask is that is my male pattern balding temporary or is it gonna stay? Did the surgery caused my balding to happen? and my hair on the back are still very thick.
    Thanks

Is it just your hairline that is affected? Because if it isn't, and you're noticing thinning all over your scalp, than there is a good chance it is TE, meaning it is only temporary. Medication has that kind of effect on people.
