Quick question — maybe someone’s been through this. My brother was in a car accident last week, nothing major thankfully, but the other driver admitted fault right away. The problem is… the guy doesn’t have any MTPL insurance at all. Now my brother’s car has a smashed rear bumper and some scratches along the side, and he’s not sure what to do next.
Does the person at fault have to pay for the damage if they’re uninsured? Or is it basically a lost cause unless you go to court? Just wondering how these things usually work and if there’s any real way to make them pay for the repairs.
