How long to notice a difference?

How long would it take the average person to notice that they are balding? Basically, for the average person that is balding, how many months would you say it would take for the person to start seeing a receding hairline, thinning in the crown, etc?

I'm not sure if I'm balding, but I've been losing a lot of hair for about 3 months, and I still haven't noticed any difference in the thickness of my hair, no receding hairline, and no thinning anywhere...

It differs from one person to the other. Some will lose a lot of hair and have noticeable thinning within a few months, while others might lose hair so slowly it takes years for them to see the difference.

      Hm, I see.

Well I got a haircut one month ago. I cut it extremely short. However, now my hair has grown back to the length it was a month ago, and doesn't look ANY less dense, any less thick, etc.

Lets say I was balding. Would this have happened?

I dont think one month can make a lot of difference.

Sure it can..did to me. I went from thick dense hair in the crown (enough hair to cover 3 crowns), to thinning in just 1 month due to massive shedding. While it may be rare, it can happen. But your right..it probably wont make a difference with most people. But you will notice "one month" that its thinning..if that makes any sense. I was also a NW0 or a NW1 in november of 2010, but 1 month made a world of difference. My top coverage which was so thick and still is, continues to get less thicker by the day.
