Wanting a Smooth Head Shave, 1st timer!!

Currently losing hair & deciding to take that plunge & straight to getting a smooth, bald look. Is a Hot Lather Head Shave done with a straight razor and what about facial hair, will it stand out with a shaved head and maybe better to also shave eyebrows and mustache as well? Any thoughts on this & looking for encouragement to do this!! Thank You!!
