FUE - Hair and a piece of fat or graft loss?

    Hello everyone!

I am currently FUE post op day 6. My surgeon told me to start gently rubbing my head in order to remove the scabs when washing my head. However I have noticed some small hair loss associated with a dermal fat that looks an awful lot like a graft. I am concerned that I may be losing my grafts. This is a long weekend and I work on Tuesday which makes it hard to follow up with my surgeon. Does anyone have any expertise and can tell me if this is normal or if these are lost grafts? There was at no point any blood associated with the loss of the hair.

After the first 72 hours, the chances of losing a graft decrease dramatically. Also, as a general rule of thumb, if there's not bleeding/pain, then a graft wasn't lost. This looks/sounds like natural shedding of the grafts and nothing to be alarmed about.

    Happy growing!!!!
