ID:	491099I’m 16YO, I went to a dermatologist and she said my hair looks fine, but my father is partially bald. He has hair on the sides, but the middle portion has little hairs. His tape line started to recede in his early 20’s and my father’s father began thinning on his crown around 23YO. On the contrary, my mother’s side of the family have hair including my mother’s father. Could this be MPB or effects of using sulfate products that I recently found out were in my shampoo and conditioner products. I have been using castor oil and massaging my scalp, I’ve started to lose some hairs in the shower, but my grandmother says that’s normal for everyone. I’ve began coping with the idea of going bald, but maybe it’s not MPB. I also have been taking biotin supplements and biotin filled hair Products.

my hair looks the same as yours. From the curly texture and everything. I used to have VERY thick curly hair and decided to take accutane at my current age of 21. Near my last month of accutane I began to notice hair loss in the shower and my family would also tell me its normal. However I know my hair does not looks the same as before I took accutane. I have asked doctors and they say accutane only causes temporary hair loss but I have not stopped thinning. It sucks. My dad has a full head of hair at 48 yrs old, but my uncles on my moms side are balding. So i also dont know if its mpb, or just thinning, but regardless I blame accutane. If your dad is balding then it could be mpb but who knows. Biotin doesnt work for shit so if it is baldness I just suggest to save up and get a hair transplant when your older.

I noticed other curly heads in my school hace the same appearance of the crown, but their hair is long like my own. My family tells me that my crown may seem exposed bc it’s longer than ever before, in my case. I would leave the acne product alone! Clean your face everyday and maintain clean pores to avoid excess build up of oils and further acne growth, my mom is a pimple freak so I know this first hand lol! Hopefully it is not MPB! My dermatologist said my hair is fine so I’ll go with that. Good luck.

It is super early and ur hair still looks great so if you start treating it now you will be good for at least a decade.
