5 years on fin. Update and old new pics. Should I dut?

Hi there. Posted here 5 years ago age 23, and the thread is below. Includes pics via photo bucket (the old method)

    https://www.baldtruthtalk.com/thread...ay%21-Pics-etc.

Fast forward to today, I'm now. 28. I've been taking fin mostly consistently, though Went off it for 4 months twice over the years due to being overseas and unable to find a fin source.

As you can see from the below pics, I am now 28 and very grey- which doesn't bother me in the slightest. But, grey aside, as you can see, the results from fin have been disappointing to say the least. I'm a non responder it would seem...

It's funny how worried I was 5 years ago, but I guess I knew it was gonna progress to something like my dad who was as bald as a coot at 34.

Questions. What are your thoughts on thickness and any haircut recommendations? Time to shave it off and work harder in the gym perhaps.

Also, I'm looking to switch to dut. Dose?
Also, is it gonna be worth it? No response to fun probably means the same will happen with dug?

How much more expensive is dut? And how should I switch. Taper, titrate?

Will I shed the last of my hairs in the process?

I had no side's to fin, so that's the upshot.

I gotta be honest, man, you've got a pretty solid head of hair. Aside from graying, I'm not seeing a dramatic difference between your pics from 5 years ago, and your pics from now. So I'm not totally sure what you're stressing about at this point, as there doesn't seem to be any noticeable recession or thinning.

I was on generic finasteride for about 5 years as well. Initially it seemed it maintained my hair pretty well, but somewhere around the 3.5-4 year mark, it had become noticeably worse. I continued on with fin, but doubled the dosage to 2mg, and added in Nizoral. I didn't really notice much benefit from that. So almost 6 months ago, I made the switch to dut (no transition, just switched). I was on dut for about 3 months. During that time, I felt I was actually seeing an improvement. My hair seemed thicker and healthier and I was feeling pretty good about it. However, I did begin to experience side effects on Dut, mainly loss of libido and some incidents of ED. So about 2 months ago I stopped after being on it for about 3 months. Everything went back to normal pretty quickly. When I was on fin, I didn't experience any noticeable side effects.

So to sum up, you seem like you're doing fine on finasteride, certainly much better than I did. So I would stick to what you're doing, as there's doesn't appear to be any cause for concern.

I am also struggling from hair loss very badly. I am chef and all day I stand front of the grill and due to much heat my hair are getting very thin day by day. But now we are using a special grill which is the BestGrill and now I am taking some relief from the heat. Please help me about my hair loss if you have any special solution for this problem. You can find Top 5 Infrared Grills from this site and this is a great website.
