    Advice on my hairline

Hi, my name is John. I have only just discovered this website and am happy to know that there is an online community of people helping each other to share advice and to cope with hair loss.

I am 27 years old and have a family history of male-pattern baldness (my maternal grandfather started balding after 30, my father after 40). I have only recently started paying attention to my hairline and I am unsure as to whether my hairline has only matured or if it has gone beyond that. I have always had a widow's peak (consequentially transforming my hairline into a shallow bat-signal ), so it is even more difficult to discern. Also, there is a natural parting in my hair running along the left side of my scalp, leaving a gap where it begins on the forehead (again, making it more difficult to tell).

I would like to know what you guys think about my hairline and if there are signs of male-pattern baldness present or if it is only maturing. I am sorry for not posting any older photos for comparison; as I have always worn my hair medium-long, my hairline is not visible in any of the old photos.
    Thanks a lot!

Your hair looks fine to me. Can't even really call that a mature hairline. It's not clear if any of the hairs at your hairline are miniaturizing and weaker than the rest. You'll just have to keep an ete on things and see if any recession occurs in the future. Definitely too soon to think about treatments.
