Male, 25. Balding. On minoxidil. What do you guys think? need some serious advice.

    Hi guys,

I am a 25 year old male. I noticed my hair started thinning 2 years go, in the frontal hairline. (Temples)
I tried minoxidil once, the liquid version, but it left my scalp all itchy and irritated. I used it for a month, and after some dreadful shedding I decided to stop using it. I also used 1mg finasteride daily for about 2 months, but noticed it caused some sexual side effects. (Decreased libido, inability to maintain an erection for long, etc) So I stopped that as well. Since then my hairline has been gradually disappearing.

I read online that the liquid version has propylene glycol which causes the scalp irritation. So after stressing for a year, i thought i should try something else. I just bought the 5% foam version a week ago, and I have been applying it to my hairline. I am not applying it to the entire scalp as I want to know how well I respond to it, as it is my first time using the foam. I will post a picture of my forehead just to give you guys an idea about the progression of my hair loss. I just want to know what chance I have of maintaining what I got. I just need some help to manage my expectations, based on maybe your experiences with the same. Help will be appreciated!

What worked for me after I gave up on minoxidil was castor oil, Rosemary, and peppermint oil. It works way better then rogaine. Also add oral L carnitine, with arginine and lysine both oral. I went from a Norwood 3 to Norwood 1.5 in 4 months. The rosemary and peppermint made my temples regrow and made my scalp hair thick again. I use to be able to see my scalp now I can't see my scalp even with light shining on it.

You still have a lot of hair.. Forget rogain that shit will just make it worse, essential oils work better but make sure you take supplements to make your hair stronger also.. Omega 3 I forgot to add
