Hi Baldtruthtalk,
Finally took the plunge yesterday and shaved my head after battling it for around 5 years. During that period, I went through some dark times and wasn't really at my best; it had started to affect various aspects of my life.
Covered it up with hair fibers and hairspray but in the end, the hair loss got worse, so did my anxiety related to it and it became too obvious I was using something to conceal it.
Decided to take control of my life and just get it over and done with - it had controlled me for far too long.
Although it's ridiculously weird looking at myself in the mirror, not recognising myself and finding it hard to adjust, it's also very liberating.
I still have to experience people's reactions to it, which I'm sure will be a mixed bag but hoping I will get used to it eventually!
Any wise words from people who have experienced this?
