You are not balding at all. Close this web page, go live your life and don't ever think about this for at least 5 years. Cheers

Yes. If balding doesn't run in your family then how and why would you go bald? Think logically before you post something on this site

You need to compare your hairline to yourself... not others. If you see lots of hair in the shower, pillow, brush or comb, that means you MAY be losing your hair. If you see a pic of yourself and see a difference, that is an indicator. As the others said... stop worrying.

So I checked around. And turns out my dad is more than nw2 (don't blame me haven't seen him in years ) . And my maternal side is fine but, in my paternal side , most men are bald. But my own brother or none of my cousin are going bald at all. My hairline hasn't receeded much but I noticed a little bit of thinning at the crown . So am I really balding. I saw a couple posts where guys started relatively similar to and ended up slick bald by their 20s . So keep all the positivity aside . I want a hard answer . I can't take minox or finasteride since my doctor advised against them for my age . Here is a picture of my crown .

As others have stated, you have nothing to concern yourself about at this time. However, I do understand your trepidation for I started losing my hair at 17. But unlike you, I had major recession by the age of 19. You have genetics on your side, and I think all will be well. Enjoy your youth and stop preoccupying yourself with these concerns.

So I took another picture in some more lighting ( a little bit of sunlight through the window ) and I panicked and sent an image to my cousin who's a doctor , he was a bit surprised and wanted to take a look in person. He seemed a worried about it and told me to visit a derm. He said that I would most probably have to start Minox . I'm attaching the picture I took yesterday morning . Any comments brothers . Everyone in the family seemed worried about it yesterday :/

No, you are not balding. To those saying he's thinning, can you find me an example of anyone thinning without significant temporal recession?

Anyway, the goons on this site don't know, but I don't either, so go see a dermatologist.

Unless it is congenital, that crown is NOT normal. And of course you can have a thinning crown with no temporal recession, depending on the cause of the hair loss. He should see a Dermo to determine what is up.

I've an appointment with derm tomorrow or the day after. There is a bit of recession on the temples . I've posted pics of that in op. But idk ,it might not be that significant. I've seen pictures of the norwood scale and yeah , the temples are nowhere close to the point in the scale where the crown thinning occurs . And I've heard that the scale isn't accurate in all cases . In any case I'm gonna visit a derm and see what he says . I'll post his diagnosis in this thread so you guys can use the knowledge to help out another brother in need .thanks guys

So I visited the derm , he said it's male pattern recession (wtf :c ). To my surprise he said the crown is not.al and will grow back ( another wtf) . He prescribed minox 5% and biotin supplements . He told to stop minoxidol after 3-4 months . And that ****ed up all my knowledge . He is one of the top derms in the city with tons of good reviews . The stopping minox part just ****ing hit out of the blue . If anyone can help me out here it would be nice. And if I can instant message with someone experienced . I'd be really glad
