Am i balding

Hi, im 16 years old and I have fine hair but A LOT of it. I basically had fine hair my whole life. Recently i noticed my hairline looking different. Like it receeded a little bit. My dad didnt lose his hair due to genetics but messing his hair up with the chemicals he puts in it, always wears a hat, he used to shower twice a day using shampoo twice a day and he uses a lot of hot stuff (blow dryers, etc.) But his father never experienced hair loss. And on my mom's side, her dad and her brothers never had hair loss.

The question i want to know is that am i going bald and what can i do to stop or slow down the balding if i am going bald.

Without pictures it's impossible to tell you what you're experiencing. With pictures we can give an educated guess but for more certainty you should book an appointment with a dermatologist. However, keep in mind a lot of men in their teens through early 20s see their hairline (especially temples) recede slightly then stop, called a maturing hairline. This is *probably* what you are having but like I said only a dermatologist can tell you for sure.
