21 need some input on my hair loss

Started losing hair in November noticeably where when I would style it a ton of hair would be on my hands and at this point my hairline is totally ****ed yet but I'm a Norwood 2 I feel like it's receding fast I want to know if you guys believe where it's thinning in the circles If I'll finasteride will help these thinning areas. Input need please the picture of me with my hair long was literally like 9 months ago

On top of this it's hard for me because I don't grow facial hair like at all lol I see high school kids with better facial hair

When in doubt... see a Dermatologist. But it can be the start of a receding hairline... mine started to go at 16!

There does look like a slight recession. It could be just a maturing of your hairline, which a lot of men in their late teens/early 20s get. It is also possible that it's the beginning of more serious thinning/recession. See a dermatologist or hair loss specialist to go over your options, but its definitely a good thing you're being proactive in finding a solution. Where you're at now looks like it could be a natural hairline, so if you're able to stabilize that you'll be in really good shape.

The amount of facial hair you have doesn't really have any correlation to male pattern baldness or hair recession in general- some people just naturally grow more or less than others. You can talk to your dermatologist about options to possibly increase growth like Minoxodil while you're there if it bothers you.

Okay thank you for your response! I am just trying to hold on as long as I can, my fathers side doesn't have a single bald sole but my moms side her uncles had hair but her father did not

Here is a better picture of where I'm experiencing thinning what are the chances of finasteride thickening this area up as you can see it's not bald yet. I'm about 5 months in and still experience hair falling out running hands through it and stuff.

Generally speaking, Finasteride and Minoxidil won't grow your hair back- they just work to keep your existing hairline and make it thicker. Don't take them expecting your hairline to be restored, although hairs do return on occasion. The more recent the loss the better chance there is of that but for the large majority of people it just doesn't happen.
