New guy thinking of going to India for hair transplant.

I am a 36 year old male at a Norwood 6 level of hair loss.

I started noticing hair loss at the age of 19.


I am going to start using rogaine and propecia to try to keep what I have and not lose anymore.


I have been doing research and was initially interested in going to see Hasson and Wong or Bosley, but it is so expensive.


I then came across Forerunners Healthcare of India.

They offer a 4,000 graft hair transplant for $4,000!


The Doctors names are "Dr Dheeraj Bojwani" and "Dr. Rajesh Rajput".


Does anyone have any experience with this or heard of these Doctors?

I don't think its a good idea to fly to India for a cut rate hair transplant. It is probably best to save your money or to finance a hair transplant from a reputable doctor in North America or not to have one at all.

I'd highly recommend AGAINST flying to India for a hair transplant. If it goes bad, you'll have no recourse. Once you come home, how could you contact them if you have any issues or problems or need care of any sort? I had a bad experience at a local Bosley, and it was hard enough dealing with that --- and they're in my backyard! I can't imagine what it'd be like if they were in another country. Your best best is Hasson & Wong or any other IAHRS surgeon.

Definitely ... Hasson and Wong have produced great results for patients, like Bobman and Jotronic, who have their pictures posted here. Check them out. I had my HT by Doc Paul McAndrews, in the Los Angeles area. My results are awesome. Good luck, keep us posted.

You say you are a norwood six now,do you have any pictures of your donor area etc and what are you wanting to achieve with your HT.By this i mean are you wanting a good hairline to frame your face or wanting a thinner all over look to gain coverage.

I have been shaving my head for about 6 years now and just started to grow my hair out again, to see what I am working with, and it's not good.


My donor site does seem thin, but we will see when it grows out more. I will post photos when I have more growth.


I am wanting a quality frontal hairline to frame my face and I am fine with a bald spot in the back.
I am actually planning on using "Toppik" for that area anyways.

As for Toppik,it works well if you have some hair for it to hold onto.I have some pictures on here somewhere with Nanogen fibres on my crown.

Can I ask you why you're considering surgery at this point, since you've been able to live with a shaved head for the past six years? Not that I am trying to discourage you, it's just that most men who are equipped to shave and move on with their lives usually contact us to tell us how liberating its been for them.

No problem.

Actually I have lived my life in a ball cap. I own my own business so I don't have to worry about not wearing a ball cap.

My customers have NEVER seen me with my ball cap off.



I am hoping that I am a candidate so I can regain my confidence again.

Business wise I have tons of confidence, but I don't have confidence in my appearance.


I am praying I am a candidate for a hair transplant. I will post photos when I have my hair grown out and see what you guys think.

I've seen a lot of women fly to Thailand for breast implants. It's a huge business, people from western countries getting surgery in third world countries. They sell packages, hotel, food, and the surgery, all included. It's cheaper but I agree, why take the risk.

If I ever decide to get hair transplants, I'll find the bests specialist in the USA, just to be safe.
