How bad off am I? (Hairline pictures)

    Background information

I'm 19, I have no family history of balding aside one uncle (Grandma's brother). Every single other male in my family has thick dark hair which to be fair, I do too aside the recession. I first noticed recession around 4-5 months ago and since then it has seemingly continued to recede. I have very good thickness and density on the top however the speed in which my hair has receded over these months the has got me very paranoid.

The question is.. How bad off am I for a 19 year old and is this male pattern baldness or maturing/natural recession?

For whatever reason it won't let me upload more than one picture so if anyone has an alternate method then please share.

    Hello Haveigotmpb!!
Looking at your photo, your hair looks good!!
Because you are now 19 years old, you might only have a maturing hairline, not hairloss!
Do not become worried or stressed out over your hair or anything else in your life.
Worry and stress WILL eventually cause hairloss and your health will be effected too!
    Please respond my friend!!

That's it... natural recession IS a type of Male Pattern Baldness. The only question is, will it stop, stay that way for a while, or progress. Only you genetics + your hormones... know.

I don't understand why it's all considered 'baldness' though? Not everyone who experiences recession goes bald. The terminology used within hairloss really does not make sense. For example if an individual was experiencing a receding hairline he's pronounced 'balding'? As for my hairline I have considerably good genetics. My father is 45 and has hardly any recession, both grandfathers still have reasonably thick hair for their age too. Like I said the only person that has the gene in them is my grandmother's brother so could that have potentially been passed onto me?

Could you please explain what the process of a maturing hairline is? It could be my hair maturing although my entire hairline has moved back ever so slightly. The greatest shift taking place at the temples. The picture I provided is the side in which my hair has recessed the most. My other temple looks to be normal/NW1. How fast is the process of a maturing hairline because the recession you're seeing in these photo's has occurred over the past 6-12 months.

He can't because there is no such thing as a maturing hairline, it's just receding. He says that all the time like many others here because the truth is most people here are clueless. Like someone else said before it can as well stop for a good while or just keep receding at any given pace. You can't predict it but eating well, taking supplements and avoid sleep deprivation will all help slowing the process. The healthier you are so is your hair.

NO, not at all, it's only an euphemism people in denial created to feel better about it. There is no natural recession, some people are 50-60 years old and have the hairline of a 16 years old kid.

A receding hairline is also known as maturing hairline if that hairline does not turn into hair loss .
                    Keep that in mind

But THAT is hairloss, even if it stop for 20 years after that ( or appears to). Stop spreading non sense and do everyone a favor, stop giving non sense advices using super annoying fonts. There is a reason NO ONE is doing that.

I'm 35 and a PhD in Biochemistry, don't try to attack me on my credibility you will lose. Besides you get this kind of comments from people here all the time, you know you are a clown, the ridicule of your pilofocus thread as reached epic proportions. You give generic meaningless advices to everyone like you have nothing else to do all day. Go back to painting creepy self-portraits...
