Hello everyone ,
New guy here who is just seeking a little advice or comfort from people in the same or similar situation.
I went to a Dr as I noticed that my hair seemed to have gotten slightly thinner at the from- even though I have always had thin hair on the top of my head I though that this had gotten a little bit worse.
The doctors reported specified that there were "Some signs of retraction of the frontal margin compatible with Hamilton Norwood Stage 2". Since doing some research I can honestly say I have been Norwood 2 from about 16-17 years old , my older brother is a Norwood 2 as-well. The Doctor also said I showed signs of thinning. The Doctor couldn't tell me if I was going to go completely bald and she didn't seem to think it was going to be a rapid process.
I don't really understand the diagnosis- both my mother and father have thin hair, but nevertheless a full head of hair and likewise for all my grandparents. I have a bald uncle and my Great Granddad was bald (Mums side) .
Is there anyone out there that was a Norwood 2 in their 20's and stayed that way?
Below are a series of pictures of my hair when it gets a little high, brushed and unbrushed. Note that my hair has been this thin since 16 years old and my hairline similar.
