    Mature hairline or MPB??

Hi everyone. I'm Tom, a 29 year old who loves his hair. I have always had fine hair and a "M" hairline, it runs in my family. Ok. I'm scared its receding! I am growing it out and it's about 8 inches long, but the roots seem lighter now than before...I know every mans hair matures but I want to share some pictures from now and from 6+ years ago. (First 3 pictures are very recent, the next 2 are 6 and 8 years apart) And please let me know what you think
    Thanks

Really can't tell if it is receding or not.

It might be a slight recession. Possibly a Norwood one, if that.

For 29 years old though, if you are balding, chances are it won't be agressive. I'm inclined to say it's not receding.

That said, it could be traction alopecia, from having a tight hairstyle? (Man bun, if it's pulling yo
r hair). Long hair in itself will not cause baldness.

Yea I have heard about this "traction allopecia" is that perminant? I mean yea I get some hair on my hand in the shower but like nothing substantial. And not hardly any hair on my pillow in the morning. My mothers dad lost his hair when he was about 60, and my dad passed away with hair when he was 40 so don't know about him and no one went bald in his side of the family. Both my uncles are bald but they went bald in early 20s and I have different dad to one of them and my hair is completely different to the other one (he had curly hair, mine is straight) I guess I will have to wait and see. And not make my buns too tight if I wear it up. Cheers mate for your reply I've been looking for a good forum for days!

Yes it can be permanent as many black girls have discovered...You are a NW 2.5-3. The is a good chance you can remain stable for a while but no one knows.
