    Propecia and high testosterone!

    Hi,

I have been on Propecia 1mg for a 1.5 years with no side effects and am 27 years old. The issue I am having is that my hormone levels are off. Originally I had my blood tested before I started and all my hormone levels were normal. Six months later my DHT went to below normal and my testosterone level to 866 and now a year later my testosterone total is 1141. That is 50 % higher than the normal for a person my age. Has anyone experienced this? And should I stop taking the drug and reintroduce it at .5mg? And how long does it take to see hair fall out if I stop for 3-4 weeks? Don't know what to do? I was thinking of continuing it at .5 until I can get in to see an endocrinologist. Any guys out there with the same concern??

    Thank you!

No my experience as I dont use.
But the reason your free test is higher is because your dht is being shut off by the propecia.
Also get a free testosterone level check as this and DHT are the most important of the test. Total is just that, total .
Meaning its the fuel in your car before you start it up and use it via fuel pump etc.
Im assuming you can no longer get a solid erection as well?

Is your libido still good though bro?

I've been on for 8months and no side effects, MAYBE a little moody at times, and hot flushes assuming their due to a rise in estrogen levels.

My libido is still very strong tho
