Yes I don't think Biotin would have any side effects but of course you should do the proper research on it.
I've never had any side effects from it

Keep observing the area but you don't need to worry or be nervous until years from now. From the photos, the crown is not balding. The issue is that you are young and more self-conscious about possibilities of changes in your outer appearance. For now, focus on being healthy, but worrying about hair loss is not helpful to any outcome. Thanks for sharing.

Toppik is actually a VERY decent thing to use for one's hair!
I did use it a while ago and I will eventually purchase it again.
For right now I have been using DermMatch again too.
It's a 'topical shader' and it does really good.
I started using it back in 2010 after I had heard that Spencer Kobren has been using it for a while and loved it!!
I really loved it's used back then but then my hair loss really started getting major so I had no use for it.
Since I have been on finasteride since 2013 and other helpful things my hair started looking very positive. I don't have any more hair loss since then!!
Then in November,2015 I was a Pilofocus phase test patient for Dr. Wesley!
I was given 500+ grafts for being a part of that phase test!
My scalp has been looking so much better to this day so I started using DermMatch again... I certainly will purchase Toppik again too!!
