    21M, What Norwood am I

So I noticed my hairline receding when I was 17 and have recently become obsessed with looking at it. Was wondering if you guys could tell me how bad it really is and if I need to be worried. One picture is from a month ago when I shaved my head.

It's still OK, but if you're going to do nothing about it, it might get worse. I would go on propecia if I were you ASAP to slow down further hair loss.

What norwood? I'd say about 2.

Do you think it could be a mature hairline, or is it definitely an early sign of MPB?

I'm no doctor, so take any advice here with a grain of salt, but for me it definitely looks like receding temples.

That's what I've thought too. I'll try out propecia I'm just hesitant because of all the bad side effects. Have you tried it?

I appreciate the advice guys! I'll try to make an appointment with a dermatologist in the next week and hopefully get on propecia. Hopefully my hairline doesn't progress tho

Yeah, I was on propecia for about 10 years without any serious issues (I'm on DUT for a few months now). I waited too long (till about 26 or so) to get on propecia and I regret not taking it sooner (I'm a norwood 3 with diffuse thinning.)

HELLO Dricks55 and welcome to this great forum, The BTT.
(ive been here since 2010 so I know its great)
Your hairline certainly does look like it is ONLY maturing at this point in time.

When I was 17 years old, my hairline was like yours was, it only matured.
I did not get serious hairloss until I was in my mid 40s.
So you may only have a matured hairline right now.
Never worry about that or anything else in your life.
Worry and stress will cause serious issues to your hairline.

Yea man you're totally fine. Keep an eye on the crown and front middle of your hairline over the next two years.

Definitely male androgen alopecia (baldness). It's a classic case. You are between a Norwood two and Norwood three.

Would recommend getting on scientific treatment (Finasteride/Minoxidil) ASAP. Your young enough to get benefits from it. Best of luck.
