Only way smp makes sense is for scars. There really isn't much difference between a bald head and a smp head. And then people are going to wonder why you aren't growing it out, or why you suddenly have dots on your head in spots that didn't before hand. Then there is the inevitable fading bleeding etc. If you are going to shave your head just shave it and be done with it.

There is a huge difference between the look of a person who lost their hair and someone who wears a shaved head and you can see their hairline...in my case and that of many others, I wore cover ups ..So, people never really knew I was bald...So, when I got SMP..I no longer had to worry about make up running off my head in public or someone touching my head and ending up with brown make up on their hand..A lot of people get smp before they go completely bald so after the procedure there is no overwhelming or noticeable change. And some people just don't care what others think when it comes to the procedure....So, they can leave work on Friday with no hair folicles and show up on Monday with a hairline....Its not for everyone, but it changed my life and I just want to give others that same option
