24 Year Old - Worried about my Crown area, Hairline is fine - Pics included

    Hi all

I'm 24 years old and recently, I've been taking photos of my crown.

To me it looks like i'm in the early states of going bald and i'm quite worried and stressed.

Firstly, could it be that my crown has always been like this?

Should I shave my hair? Will that help in getting even regrowth in my crown? As my front hairline is fine.

I ask because i've suffered from Eczema for the past few years, and have had it really bad on my scalp (scratched out chunks of my hair etc, especially at the sides and top near the front of my head, and have applied some pretty potent steroids over 3 years)

Thanks to Apple Cider Vinegar, my scalp eczema (dermatitis) is now gone.
The imgur pictures were taken a few days ago, the ones attached at the bottom of this post were taken this morning after I had washed my hair.

Also lastly, is it normal for my crown to look worse under sunlight? Because when I put a mirror to the back of my head, my hair actually seems ok, albeit slightly parted in places.

Imgur link with 9 images from a couple days ago - http://imgur.com/a/Z11vx

Attached links should be below, which show photos from this morning under sunlight.

    Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the BTT forum Hamishb!
You are at the RIGHT PLACE for help and understandings.

When I was in my mid 20s,
I too had a crown area that looked like that, BUT, I did NOT experience any serious hairloss until I was into my 40s! Thats the truth.
You might have the same experience that I had.

    Your words:
"To me it looks like i'm in the early states of going bald and i'm quite worried and stressed"
Hamishb, WORRY and STRESS WILL cause serious issues to your hairline!
That IS a FACT of life!!
You must be accepting of whatever it is like for NOW.
I am SURE that no one else around you really notices a difference to your hair,,
especially at the back of your scalp.
You must not ALLOW yourself to become unnecessarily worried/stressed out over ONLY possibilities.
(or anything else in your life!)
Again, your hairline seems to be A-OK.
Cant wait to hear back from you bro! Cheers to you.

Thank you for your reply! Can I ask if you have any pictures of your crown area when you were that age?

I only ask as like you've said, those around me have said my crown has always been pretty much like that, so I just want to see if were quite similar.

Also does anyone else have any input regarding the pics?

      Thanks

        Hi!
(I'm on my smart phone now)
Answer your question, I don't believe I've ever had any photographs of the back of my scalp like that one.
In my 20s and later I was excepting of whatever it was!
        I want to say again,
Stress will cause more issues to your scalp.
Again that's a fact of life!
In my 40s I became very stressed out but it had nothing to do with my hair.
There were serious issues in my life back then and that's how I became stressed out!
(of course I should never have allowed myself to become stressed out)
At the time when I was worried and stressed my hair drastically changed very quickly!
It was no needed for to happen and that's why I'm advising you to step back and stay calm!
Stress made my hairloss start very fast. Relatively speaking.
Start possibly taking The multivitamin Biotin

Thanks Artista for answering my questions, I understand it must be a bit annoying answering long paragraphs on a small screen.

Funnily enough I've looked into Biotin. I've heard it's good for the scalp.

What strength should I take and how many tablets a day?

          I've seen things like 1000mcg or 10,000mcg.

Also, anyone else have any opinions about the photos? Would appreciate it

            Biotin-
a vitamin of the B complex, found in egg yolk, liver, and yeast. It is involved in the synthesis of fatty acids and glucose.
I'll look to see how much biotin I take every day... Be right back

Do you take a Biotin supplement/tablet or do you just look for it in every day foods?

I was working outside in our backyard..
                I'm in the house now!
The Biotin I use is the brand name
'Spring Valley' Biotin @ 1000 mcg-
                1 per day.
