    Receding hairline at 16

Hi, my name is Nathan. I'm 16 years old and I'll be 17 in 22 days.

My hairline has been receding since the end of 8th grade/beginning of 9th grade.

I'm a junior in high school now, but my hairline, coupled with my beard, makes me 2-3 times older.

    I need help.

I want a more permanent solution than Rogaine or Propecia or anything that fits within that category.

I've been trying to convince my parents into considering hair follicle implantation, but much to my avail, they dismiss my advances and say that I look fine.

    Should I keep trying?

Hello NatePistachio and welcome to this good and helpful forum!

Hair transplants are never recommended for guys as young as you.

You must keep this in mind, you may ONLY be experiencing a maturing of your hairline now.
That is a fact of life for everyone.
Could you please post photos of your hairline here?
NO NEED to show your face here.

Also, DO NOT WORRY about your hair or anything else in life.
Worry and STRESS WILL cause unnecessary hairloss and can eventually hurt your health too!!
Please consider my words and what other GOOD (older) members can offer to you,
we will offer you realistic and good advice!!

          Hello Emotional'
Being that you're 19 years old, you of course know that you are still growing and that of course applies to your hairline too.
When I was about your age,
(i'm in my mid-50s now) I too was experiencing a maturing of my hairline.
At first I started to worry about it but then I use common sense and I stepped back from it... Excepting it for what it is that time, I lived my life and I stayed happy is a very young man.
I did not experience serious hairloss until I was my very late 30s!
Might be the same for you and for Nathan..
The point is that you have to stay positive, OK?
