I'm Dan and I turn 25 in a week. I've heard that you should look to your mother's father to see if you would go bald or not. Whether this is true I have no idea but if it is I always assumed that sooner or later, I was doomed. To tell the truth though, I had been doing alright until I got my hair cut the other day and realized that although I wouldn't say I'm going bald, my hairline is receding at my temples and that my hair is getting a bit thinner. Naturally, I freaked out. Now I'm really wanting to be proactive and so here I am. What course of action should I follow. Rogaine, go to a doctor for a prescription med, hair surgery? I just don't know what to do but I want to do something. Hoping to find out what here. Thanks
Hi everyone.

Hereditary hair loss can actually be attributable to either your mother or father's sides of the family. The most proactive thing you can do would be to talk to your doctor about starting hair loss medication treatment (Propecia, Rogaine, etc.) and trying to find a regime that works best to slow hair loss for you.Comment
