I've been thinning slowly for about 10 years and I'm trying to decide to shave it or not. Not really interested in treatments. I tried rogaine for a bit but it irritated and dried my scalp out like crazy. My hairline is pretty much intact but I have uneven thinning on the top. So I guess I'm just looking for some impartial answers to the questions should I shave it off or leave it alone. All I can get out of my wife is whatever makes you feel good.

So I pulled the trigger and shaved it off, and its the best thing I've ever done. Today is the first day in 3 years I'm not going to worry if someone notices how thin my hair is getting. I can't tell you how freeing this feels. My wife was really concerned about how I would look, but it turns out she really likes it. She said me that if she would have known how I would look that she would have told me to do it 6 most ago. I know some of you will go with systems or drugs to keep your hair and that's fine if you feel strongly about it. Bottom line is you will always have that thought in the back of your mind about your thinning hair. Just know that your self worth is not in a head of hair, but in your attitude and how you treat other people.

Looks great man! I did the same thing almost two years ago and still keep it that way. I check in here from time to time on future treatments, but I'm not letting my thin hair bother me anymore. Props to you man, looks good to me.Comment
