17 years old and receding hairline

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I recently turned 17, and have noticed for the past few months that my hairline has been drastically receding. I first noticed when I was becoming very unsatisfied with my haircuts, despite having the exact same cut by the same hairdresser for a number of years. I have very thick hair on the rest of my head, it's just my hairline that's the problem (for now).

Ever since it started, I've become very self conscious because I can't find any hairstyles which look good and work with my hairline. I now just try and not look at my hair whenever I look in a mirror, because I get very stressed whenever I think about it. I can't get a buzz cut because short hairstyles don't suit me at all.

If anyone could give me any advice on my best options, it would be greatly appreciated. Price isn't too much of a concern.

    Thanks

    Hi Cales,
It is hard to give advices on haircut without seeing the person. Any photo would be of help.
I know it is hard to accept that you are losing your hair at 17 yo, but it is a sad reality. If you are a fighter and want to keep your hair, you should start the treatment. As you may know, the most effective solution is finasteride (Propecia 1 mg or Proscar 5mg).

stay strong my friend! before you are 20 we will have an much more effective way to keep your hair! and by the looks of it possibly a way to regain most of what you loose, by the time the better treatments are here you will probably just have the look of a mature hairline! On topic though; try fin and minox! im using minox 12.5%+ AA from belgravia center in london, its quite expensive so i dont know yet if its worth it, but seems to be ok for me!
