Hey guys,

To start off, I am 21 years old and started to notice my receding hairline/ thinning hair about a year ago (however it didn't really start noticeably progressing until the last few months). I don't want to go bald just yet, so I decided to take some action against it. I went to my dermatologist and they suggested to use rogaine, and not propecia at the moment. I am about to start accutane, so they suggested to just try rogaine at the moment, which I am completely fine with. I started rogaine today, and will add nizoral to combat dryness and itchiness. I hope to experience some regrowth up top as well as my hairline. I plan on using this to monitor my progress, or lack thereof, in the next few months. If the rogaine is ineffective, I may consider getting on propecia after I am done with accutane, or just shave it all off. It is only hair.

According to the photos provided, your hair is not so bad. It seems to be thick enough and I think Rogaine would help keep it.
