I consulted with the top 2 doctors in my area and am confused because they offered me different suggestions. Dr.one suggests FUT while Dr.two FUE.
Dr.one wanted me to get good quality grafts thus suggested FUT (3000 grafts) even though he said my scalp laxity was not great but was ok.
Dr.two examined my scalp and was not satisfied with the laxity and outright suggested FUE (2000 grafts), his staff even saying that things can go horribly wrong if I did an FUT.
I know laxity is an important factor in deciding which procedure to go through but I need some advice as both doctors are highly recommended and respected. Another thing to note is that Dr.two's fee for FUE of 2000 grafts is double than what Dr.one charges for 3000 grafts in FUT.
Details about me: Male, 35, Type V, good health, goal is to get good (not great) frontal and mid coverage.
