Hey guys, I've been experiencing recession on my hairline since I was 19. I went to a dermatologist and he thought I just have a "maturing hairline" but I'm not to sure I believe him. No hairloss or thinning in the crown area but I do use minoxidil on my hairline even though I hear it's not as effective up front. Been using the min for about a year along with nizoral. I've attached some pics so if you guys can give me your opinions that'd be great, I'm interested in hearing what everyone here thinks. Thanks
21 yo with hairline recession, possibly mpb?

No they usually don't. I haven't actually been shedding more hair since I started noticing it. I'd say I still only shed around 10ish hairs when I shower and only notice a few more throughout the day. I'm not sure if that really matters though.Comment

The great majority of adults/young men develop a "mature" hairline, which means it goes a little further back than it did when you were literally a child. Just because you have a mature hairline does not mean that you are experiencing the onset of MPB. I do not see any signs of MPB. Don't just look at the highest part of the hairline, look at the tufts above your sideburn area. Your shit is tight. Please, in honor of everyone on here that is losing their hair: go out there and enjoy your awesome head of hair! You have nothing to worry about now. Trust me, when there is something for you to worry about you'll know.Comment
