Has anyone who has been on Propecia and had the nasty sides gone on to use Nioxin or Spectral RS?

Working at Dr. Cole's office and meeting nearly every patient who comes through the door, I hear quite a few reports related to finasteride use. One recent patient a couple of weeks back stopped using finasteride because his interest in women decreased. Our patient today has been taking finasteride for about a year and has not noticed any side effects. It's a mixed bag. Some may blame occasional sexual issues on the finasteride, other men notice definite sides, while others don't notice any adverse effects. Oddly enough, a couple of our patients have told me they had sides with finasteride and did not have sides with dutasteride, a much more powerful medication.

Propecia is a more effective medication for the treatment of hair loss than Nioxin or Spectral.RS.

Your inquiry isn't as clear as it may seem to you. If you want to know the side effects of finasteride, the most accurate approach is to research online. Data from reliable sources is going to be dry, but mostly accurate. Your post could also be interpreted to ask what side effects a finasteride user experienced after getting off finasteride and using Nioxin or Spectral RSB for a while. Be patient, perhaps someone will share some interesting stories.

BTW, Propecia is going to be a far more effective medication for the treatment of MPB than the two you mentioned.
