Hey guys new here, let me start off by saying I have done a lot of research as many do and I am in that confused state which many end up in. I am unsure of whether or not I should start up on propecia.
Let me give you a back round.
I am 24 and one of those guys who always had the long hair, I have pictures I will be showing. It has basically been my signature feature all my life, this is why its very frustrating for me.
Up until about 2 years ago I experienced no hair loss at all. Then it seemed like in a span of about 6 months it just went to shit. Receding hairline and very thing hair at the top. Then after the 6 months of hair loss it stopped, and now for the passed year and a half I have not experienced any more loss or any gain. That is weird to me as to why it didn't keep getting worse.
So in that time I basically just bitched and moaned as to how this could happen to me, I always had great thick long hair, blah blah blah. Skip to now, I have decided to take as much action as possible, if it isn't already too late. I went to a dermatologist, but I feel like she didn't care and just shuffled me in, said get on propecia and rogaine, and shuffled me out. Didn't really explore any other options or possible causes. Waited 30 minutes for about a 3 minute conversation with the Dr.
Anywho, I was just curious if any of you have any input that you would deem useful for someone in my position. I am of course worried about possible side effects because obviously people who get them are the ones who complain the most and for the majority who don't, don't bother writing about it.
here are pictures, obviously the older ones are just regular old pictures and not close ups because I had no reason for that.
and I hope you enjoy my facial expressions.
to give information per picture,
long hair is about 2 and a half years ago
short hair one is about 2 years ago, I cut it short for work
and the other 2 are current
