    Hopefully I caught it soon

Hey all, I've been on this forum for a little bit now gathering info and I obtaining knowledge just in case I ever have to come face to face to with one of our inevitable fears and occurrences.. Hair loss respectively. I have been observing my hairline for about half a year now and I feel as if it is changing. My hair has really had the same shape and density since I could remember. My mothers father is bald... Ouch, but my father has a pompadour of
Hair and mine looks pretty much identical. I could just be paranoid but I feel as if I'm detecting slight Thinning. I don't lose much hair that I notice whether it be in the shower, combing it, or styling it with my glue/putty whatever you may call it. I'm now surrendering my thoughts and swallowing my pride to come to the realization that I have may inherited MPB. I know there really isn't anything we as men can do about it, I'm 21 years old and it seems to me as if I'm too young to start, but in the reality of
Things, I'm as susceptible to it like any other person.. Thick hair or
Not. Sorry for the rambling on, but I'll
Leave it to you guys to give me an initial input.

Note: I'm the only one who noticed this. I'm a freak about my
Hair and regard it as one of, if not
My best feature. I'm a little OCD and paranoid... Not like a schizophrenic, but I'm sure some of you know what I mean. Thanks all.

Ugh, that's the last thing I wanted to hear, but
Thanks for the honestly. I use hair product for my hair which is a glue, and sometimes I know
I'm being too vigorous with my
Hair and would accidentally push it back too hard which would
Result in a hair or two(maybe more) being pulled out. What would
You recommend I do? I currently am
Using nioxin shampoo which is said to thicken hair. I would
Love to have the hair I had a year ago. Maybe I'm
Crazy idk but it's my pride and joy aesthetic as it is:

Go see a dermatologist that can measure hair density. I don't think humans have the ability to detect minute changes like that in hair unless it's really apparent. So stop worrying, and just settle it with a consultation with a Dr.

As for me, I can't really discern anything with regards to thinning in those pictures. In fact, I don't see many symptoms of early baldness at all.

Well that makes me feel a bit better. My hair is still thick as balls but I was just looking at it
More closely one day and saw a tad of scalp. I will probably go to the Dr and/or dermatologist so they can properly assess the situation. Could
It possibly be a transition from juvenile to mature
Hairline? As I had said in previous threads,
I'm a late bloomer, meaning I haven't been able grow facial hair until this year.(I'm 21 years old). Also, I have had the same hair density forever. I even looked at pictures of
Me before adolescence and I had a large forehead even then in my
Opinion. I'm just one to notice something and
Get paranoid once I fixate on something
Which makes me feel as if I'm overreacting.

I would say that yes you did catch it early enough. Now it's time to do something about it.

I caught mine on time, don't be like the rest and leave it until your NW3!

It's difficult to say whether it's a transition to a mature hairline. Could be, go look at pictures of mature hairlines to get a feel if that is your case.

Also I was a late bloomer as well, I didn't start getting facial hair and shaving until 23 or so. This was also when my hair started falling out full throttle. i am not trying to frighten you, only to say hair loss can quickly happen so it's a good thing you're being paranoid about it. I wish I had been, I wouldn't be in this nightmare of NW 3 right now, at 25 looking like a 30+ year old because of this.

anyway good luck on a consult with the Derm.
