    Hello, my name is David

Hi I'am David I'am 20 years old started to notice hair loss at 16-17 while I was a heavy straightening iron user . I had huge shedding at that time so I dumped the styling tool. I quickly started to use a natural hair loss product which stoped the shedding but still had some above decent hair loss so I thought that's it the hair loss is over. Well not really my hairline receded and crown thinned out since then.

Oh I forgot to mention that my hair was really really thick and had full head of hair (at 16-17) and now I'am almost 21 and I want to make some changes in my life so I will start with hairloss.

I know that I'am balding because I know how it starts + dad's bald but the interesting part is that on my father's side my grandfather was a nw3-maybe 4 and on my mother's side my grandfather has a full head of hair no sign of hair loss at all.

I attached some pictures and waiting for some opinions on what treatment should I use .
    Thank you for your time.

If baldness is rare on your mother's side, you may not be headed toward having hair like your dad's. Most men have less hair at 20 than they did when they were 11, 14, or 18. Your hair looks normal in the photos. Don't trust photos taken by your phone with a flash. Camera flash can make you look like you have bald and thinning areas where none exist.

Ohh we are many Nice to meet you Dave . The main reason why I wrote the thread its because honestly I never saw my scalp in the crown , now 1 year I was checking my hair at the crown and I was Bearley seeing the scalp. But lets hope its just maturization. ( I'am also proud of my name , girls like it too )

Hi 35yrsafter, yes I heard that mothers side is the "main" baldness gene .I mentioned my dad because I look very like him . I was considering topical finasteride but I'll stay away for now. I guess I will use some natural products for the start. Thanks for the reply guys
