You can be cooler than your tall friends. If you went the rest of your life without ever whining again, you'd be cooler than 90% of modern Americans. Same goes for if you got into killer shape or learned to be truly great at something.

Then on your deathbed you can say, "man...I kicked some ass." Is a guy with great hair gonna lay there and say, "man...I had great hair!"
I'm 5'11 on my passport, height is not my problem. Even though I would rather be 6'2 I don't care. Hair is my one and only problem in life.

My family is wealthy and I myself owns two companies at the age of 19. My grades are almost the highest they can be, I have a girl friend and so on. All I want is a stabilized hairline and my life is perfect. I know I'll be rich in a few years, but **** that I just want my god damn hair to be normal.

Lol, you want life to be perfect. Well guess what man, it's not. If you learn to accept that you're just a mortal human with a physical flaw, you'll be a better person for it. Seriously...you need to just stop whining. Young and healthy with money? Go on a spiritual journey and learn to take joy in the little things. Be a man, for chrissakes. Your ancestors had to fight and survive to produce you. Do you think they'd be proud to hear you whining about your hairline? People are starving, get cancer, lose their parents, lose their home, and your only problem in life is your hair? Just live and learn to be happy. Happiness is a skill.

        In Addition to a Cure

In addition to a cure for MPB, hopefully someone will discover a way to help men not care so much about their hair.

BS! People that have read my posts for the year I have been on hear know that I don't come on here and try to trash dudes, so nice try. I have gotten into a couple of disagreements with some on here, and some don't get my sense of humor sometimes, but I don't come on here and crap on people. I didn't even know you were 5'7" until you told me yesterday. I didn't catch your joke so I thought you were over 6' tall.

I don't have a problem with your height. I couldn't care less. You have a problem with it. So don't even try it. Look at your posts for the past week and look at mine for the past year. You tell me who has more aggressive, judgmental, offensive posts.

Oh I don't doubt that you've always played nice with the other whiners on here. And I don't think you have a "problem" with my height. Why would you unless you were some psycho heightist? But as soon as I dropped that bit of info, you began to enjoy marginalizing me on that level...saying "short and bald, wow" and telling that random story about some random short bald virgin you used to know. I mean how was that relevant to our discussion except to point out that short dudes have a tough time?

And this is actually a great example of not caring what an anonymous person on the internet says, as opposed to your misuse of that expression: i don't care what you think about any aspect of me. I've already come to terms with my body enough where I've managed to build a pretty sweet life for myself.

All I wanted was to find a group of dudes to help with the hard days. Once I realized how wimpy this forum was, I tried to fire people up with ideas of self-acceptance and natural self-improvement. I mean christ...there are 19 year olds on here whining about being NW1. And no one has any interest in trying to develop themselves into someone who can survive without hair. Everyone just wants their magic pill so they can go on being ordinary. It's pathetic!

I'll drift away, because this conflict is getting boring. Then you guys can forget all about that guy who only wanted to get people to try living on a different level, and you can go back to whining about shit that doesn't really matter. Try having heart problems at age 30 and see if you whine about your hair anymore.

Apologies if I've irked anyone by fussing when really I have a decent amount of hair but I'm adamant that preventative action will serve me much better than taking the same steps once I've reached NW2/3 etc. And again, believe it or not, my hairline has deteriorated over the last year and it's not showing signs of stopping.

Your hair looks great. I hope you can keep most of it. Hopefully more effective treatments will become available as the MPB process is better understood. Stick with Plan C. Steer clear of Plan 9.

Even though the responses to this thread were largely negative, I thought I would post an update.

4 months on, having taken 0.5mg dut and used 100mg RU in 1.5ml KB solution ED, my temples have continued to recede at a similar rate. More significantly, a bald spot has begun to appear at my crown; something I have never experienced before.

Just because you're not yet a NW2 or 3, doesn't mean you're not going bald. I have never experienced side effects from hair loss treatments, despite having tried quite a few now, and I expect that my hairline will continue to recede until there's nothing left. Yes, I still have a decent amount of hair. But it doesn't look like I'm responding to anything. My temples continue to creep back and regardless of what treatment I try, I dont experience any side effects to suggest that it is working.

Even though 4 months isn't a long time to wait for results from dut, considering I used fin for almost a year beforehand and used RU every day, plus dut isn't particularly good at targetting the hairline, I see no grounds for optimism going forward.

I'm sure that stuff would work but doesn't it essentially turn you into a woman?
