    Cool guys!

So I think i'm going to take the plunge and start on Finasteride. Seems like I should try this for a year or so to see what kind of results I get before contemplating a hair transplant.

If I could stop my hair loss now and thicken up the thinner hairs around my temples, I'd be pretty happy with that! I don't think I would care about hair transplant surgery at that point.

You are making a good choice. Hopefully things work out for you. Just remember for most of us regrowth is a very slow process. Give it a full year and a half, maybe even two before giving up if regrowth or stabilization is slow.

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely will give it time.

Trying to do some research on Nizoral, running into discussions about regenepure too. Any recommendations on what sort of shampoo to get?

I use both Regenepure and Nizoral. I don't prefer one over the other. The only reason I have both is because there was a period of time last year when Nizoral was unavailable.

Keep in mind that Nizoral can be very harsh on the scalp and hair, I believe it actually states it on the box. There is a 1% and 2% version of Nizoral.

I guess if you insist upon using Nizoral I would use it in conjunction with a very high quality conditioner such as Regenepure or Revita COR, you could also use Nizoral once or twice a week and use Regenepure or revita shampoo and conditioner every other day.

Well dang, I just called my primary care physician and the first day I could get for an appointment is May 14th.

In regards to shampoos, I went with the 2 pack of Regenepure. Should be here tomorrow.

Had my appointment yesterday with the doc, i'm now on a years supply of Finasteride 1mg.

Starting the first tablet today. I'm kind of bummed out by the price of this stuff though. It's 70 bucks for a months worth. Dr Reddys brand. Insurance isn't convering it. Is anyone else getting a better price? I am getting mine from CVS.

Jut thought I would update this thread. I completed 1 month on Finasteride, no noticeable side effects. Nothing new to report on hair growth either but it's way too early to report anything. I continue to be balding lol.

Chances are pretty good that you will at the very least slow or even stop further progression. Regrowth happens, but should be viewed as a plus, but keeping what you have broadens your options considerably. Keep us posted and good luck!
