    Finasteride. Why so afraid?

I posted around 10 months ago. I started fin at 18 and and 10 months on my hair looks no different. I understand why someone would be afraid to get on it but for me there is no difference between myself before I started fin and after. I do get some pain in my penis but that's only when I decide to masterbate over three times in a day (true story). Any young hair loss sufferers fin should be your first course of action unless you're under 18. Just bite the bullet and get a months supply and see how you do for a week or two. Being on it for a week will not ruin your penis.

Any prescribed drug needs to be considered very carefully. There are short term and long term risks associated with taking finasteride and people should be well advised about them.

I am one of the guys around here that recommends fin. I have been on it for 9 months and not only has it stopped my hair loss, but I have had regrowth. It's not that I don't believe that the possibility of sides is very real, but I think the incidents of sides is just way overblown.

With that being said, I have no problem with guys playing in safe and working their way up to the full 1mg dose. If I was just starting fin that is the approach I would take.

Notcoolanymore's posting here back in 3/2014 was and is correct ....

"... not only has it stopped my hair loss, but I have had regrowth. It's not that I don't believe that the possibility of sides is very real, but I think the incidents of sides is just way overblown"

              (by the way, HI Notcool'!!)

I too have experienced the same, my hairloss has been STOPPED and I am experiencing REGROWTH, since 2013.

Mribby1 you must always stay calm and patient when taking Finasteride.
It helps men on Fin' at different percentages.
Also it is different for everyone in its time frames.

'Bad side effects' applies to most ALL types of prescription medicines.
The chances of experiencing bad sides' are
quite RARE to a sub-set of all patients using most all types of medicines, not just Fin'...

Do not focus on the possibilities....live your LIFE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN and do not be so concerned.

Nobody says that the drugs should be taken without caution. I think that any man who decides to go with finasteride considers all the possible things. The other thing is that men who take fin are very anxious about it's effectiveness and side effects it may give and this fact can affect their psychics.

I'm also a happy fin user and I as well as Notcoolanymore and Artista suggest men who want to save their hair, to give this drug a try.

Simple choice you either take it or you don't. We all know the possible side effects. I have been on propecia then switched to avodart since 95, 20 years later I still have most of my hair and every thing functions properly. It's funny when I started propecia in 95 the Internet was just getting started, so there was no fear mongoring. i was just happy something new was introduced.

Most men actually care more about their hair than their sexual health. That is the reason probably are on Fin.

If you watch your hair disappear without at least trying finasteride I don't think you have any grounds to complain.
